Read the selected seller
The Rutherfords pen product displays free shipping. Its shipping page describes standard Royal Mail1st Class and says everything is engraved to order, with up to7 days allowed for standard arrival. Free refers to the stated shipping charge;it is not evidence that the personalised pen is already made or will arrive the next morning.
Check destination conditions
The shipping page asks buyers from overseas, the Scottish Highlands and Channel Islands to call before ordering about times and costs. That qualification matters when assessing the broad free-shipping wording. A UK address is not enough to assume every destination receives identical service. The buyer’s actual checkout and seller confirmation remain necessary.
Express is a separate selection
The seller advertises an express option at6.95 and describes a guaranteed next-working-day service. This site reports it as seller wording rather than independently guaranteeing a personalised order’s arrival. Confirm engraving processing, cutoff, destination and actual eligibility with the seller before relying on it for an event.
A useful comparison
A pen priced£22.99 with an eligible zero standard postage can have a different delivered total from an£8.39 notebook with paid postage. The lower item ticket is not automatically the better deadline solution. Keep both money and timing in the comparison, and enter only the charge actually confirmed for the selected address.
A concrete buying decision
The pen seller’s up-to7-day standard-arrival wording is not a seven-working-day production promise. Keep the statement as written instead of converting it into another seller’s making-plus-transit formula. If the event date is essential, seek confirmation for the exact engraving and destination before choosing a service.
